Whether you prefer a quiet setting or a more spacious environment, our rooms allow guests to connect, reflect and share memories comfortably. Our team can assist with personalised touches such as picture galleries, slide shows and favourite music. With ample parking, step free access, and catering options tailored to all dietary needs, we aim to make everything as seamless and supportive as possible during a difficult time.
Memorials & Celebrations of Life
A celebration of life is an alternative way of saying goodbye to a loved one.
It may be a special memorial you plan in the days and weeks after a lower-key funeral, giving many people the opportunity to play a part in remembering the life of the loved one. In some circumstances a celebration of life can take place months or years after a loss.
Here at the Glen-Yr-Afon we are ready to help you make this possible. We work with a local well-respected celebrant who will work with you to ensure that a tribute is both fitting and appropriate and most importantly very personal.
Whether you're planning a small, intimate gathering or something larger, we provide a calm, welcoming setting with thoughtful support throughout.

Usk Natural Burial Ground
Usk Castle Chase is tranquil and private and offers something gentler. A place of escape, away from it all.
Set in 14 acres of Monmouthshire countryside and surrounded on three sides by mature woodland, the burial ground is a peaceful and uplifting place for reflection and remembrance. The meadow has far reaching views to the south and south-west over the
Usk Valley, and with near access to Glen-yr-Afon, it's ideally placed for post funeral gatherings.

Gwent & Langstone Crematorium
Gwent Crematorium based in Croesyceiliog serves the five local authorities of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire. Newport and Torfaen.
In the heart of the countryside, Langstone Vale Crematorium provides a natural place for families to hold the dignified service of their choice. Bordering the communities of Newport and Monmouthshire, the new service has been especially designed in the local rural character so it blends into the countryside, offering a place of peace and seclusion. The chapel is light & spacious, finished in natural stone with picture windows along one side to frame the magnificent views beyond.
