We have now reopened for business from Monday 9th November 2020.  Due to limited staff working at the hotel for now, we are answering telephone calls only between 9am - 3pm Monday-Friday and 10am- 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  

You can however book accommodation via our website (link below), email us or message via our social media pages.

Please note that in accordance with Government guidelines we are unable to take bookings from outside of Wales at this time unless you are an essential worker travelling alone on business for which proof will be required. This applies to all our accommodation until after 2nd December 2020. Thank you for your understanding.

Set in well-maintained gardens, the architecture of this beautiful privately owned Victorian Villa makes it the perfect wedding venue for those looking to get married in South Wales.  A popular choice as a wedding venue since 1974, we have two beautiful rooms that are licensed for wedding ceremonies and four reception rooms suitable for weddings of all sizes. Planning your wedding day should be an enjoyable experience and here at the Glen Yr Afon, our dedicated team take great pride in sharing their experience, offering advice and preparing a wedding package to suit your individual needs.

Nestling in the heart of the Monmouthshire countryside and located a short stroll from the picturesque town of Usk, our family-run hotel offers relaxation and a high level of personal service.   We also host business conferences, family celebrations, short breaks, birthday gatherings or dinner parties in our Clarkes Restaurant.

From the four-poster bridal suite to family rooms, all guest bedrooms are individual in character and furnished to a high standard, every room is fully en-suite with trouser press, flat-screen television/DVD player, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and most have views of the hotel's spacious gardens. 

Our award-winning Clarkes restaurant is open from 6.30 pm to 9.00pm and serves a variety of dishes from light meals through to an excellent selection of a la carte dinners. We have a range of dining experiences that are guaranteed to delight. Open for residents and non-residents, Clarkes Restaurant offers customers a truly wonderful dining experience, combining as it does the luxurious environment of this beautiful Victorian villa with dishes produced from the finest, freshest and, wherever possible, locally-sourced ingredients. Sunday lunch in Clarkes Restaurant is particularly popular - so prior booking is a must to avoid disappointment.

Whatever your business needs we have rooms catering for large conferences or smaller corporate meetings. All are serviced by syndicate rooms and any special arrangements for events can be organised with the assistance of our dedicated conference coordinator.
