Explorers frequently find their way to the atmospheric ruins of Tintern Abbey – the inspiration for numerous artists and photographers – and the Brecon Beacons National Park, with its splendid mountains and walking trails. Glen Yr Afon is a prestigious wedding venue and also offers packages for special interest groups, such as anglers fishing the Usk and Wye for salmon, or golfers visiting outstanding parkland courses around Monmouth, Chepstow, Abergavenny and walking the Brecon Beacons. The Brecon Beacons National Park and Sugar Loaf mountain are only a short drive away should you wish to partake of the many walks available.

Did you know that our Clarkes Restaurant is open to non-resident guests?

Clarkes Restaurant in Usk offers customers a truly wonderful dining experience, combining as it does the luxurious environment of this beautiful Victorian villa with dishes produced from the finest, freshest and, wherever possible, locally-sourced ingredients.

In this respect the restaurant is spoilt for choice, as Monmouthshire and its surrounding counties can boast a plethora of local suppliers providing all manner of delicious foods from unique cheeses and wines, famous Welsh beef and lamb, to fresh fish and seafood.  Dinner is served between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

Candidates will need to be flexible.  Work hours are based on a weekly rolling rota, including evenings and weekends

Long weekend (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) every 5 weeks 
Based on full time – 40 hours per week, 28 days annual leave, part time positions could be available.
