Just a few miles from the M4 the Hotel is easily accessible for delegates travelling to a conference or business meeting.
Located in the attractive, historic town of Usk in Monmouthshire, we have been providing corporate conference packages and business meeting services and facilities since 1974 and have become well established as one of South Wales' foremost, privately-owned venues for corporate events and conferences.
Our conference tariffs include lunch for your delegates and dinner for those taking our 24 hour delegate package. Guests can stay overnight in one of our 28 guest bedrooms and partake of a full Welsh breakfast before departing the following morning.
The hotel, which is just a 15 minute drive from junction 24 off the M4 along the A449 and then the A472, about an hours drive from Cardiff airport and also easily accessible from the M5, M50 and A40. You can find directions here.
We have played host to numerous local, regional and national businesses who have used our conference facilities for all manner of functions - meetings, sales forums, product launches, conferences, exhibitions, training events, award ceremonies, away days, auctions, business breakfasts and lunches.

Once at the hotel, delegates will be guaranteed privacy, comfort and friendly individual service. Free parking is available on site for delegates. Complimentary WiFi access is available throughout the hotel.
There are a variety of rooms to choose from, depending on your requirements, ranging in capacity from the Octagonal Library, which seats 20 delegates, up to the Ballroom for larger presentations which can seat 40 delegates boardroom style, 200 delegates theatre style and 250 for a reception. All rooms are serviced by syndicate rooms that can be made available for those event formats that include a workshop element.
A range of equipment is available and is included in the delegate price e.g. overhead and multimedia projectors and screens, flip charts and pens, DVD player / projector, and in-house technical staff are always around to assist with any set-up or operational hiccups. The hotel also provides colour laser photocopying, fax machines, e-mail facilities and secretarial services and complimentary wireless broadband is accessible throughout the whole of the hotel.
The Glen-Yr-Afon is renowned in the area for its fabulous restaurant, Clarkes, so delegates can expect the food provided on the day to be of an extremely high standard. Delegates with special dietary needs can easily be catered for.

Accommodation for conference delegates
For events which are taking place over more than one day we can offer overnight accommodation for delegates. We offer 28 en-suite bedrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, trouser-press, iron and ironing board, TV and telephone. There is plentiful parking at the hotel which is free to delegates. Wi-Fi is available throught the Hotel.
Should your event include some down-time for delegates the hotel staff can advise on the wide range of sporting and leisure activities including golf courses in the Monmouthshire area and we can organise something for you ahead of time if required.
From the time you confirm your booking and specify your requirements, our dedicated conference staff will work be working to ensure that, on the day, everything is ready for you to your complete satisfaction. However, should any unforeseen problems arise at the last minute, members of the hotel staff are on-hand to help and keep your day running smoothly.
