Food options for your function

Choosing food for your celebration need not be a difficult task. We offer an extensive selection of food options - our experience team will assist you in selecting the most suitable food options for your particular occasion.    Depending on your numbers, we can accommodate functions in our Library, Ballroom, Dining Room and Restaurant.  We have a function bar and a residents bar offering a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits as your guests arrive.

  • The a la carte menu offers your guests a choice at the table from the menu of the day.  This menu varies at the discretion of Head Chef.
  • Our Function Menu (for 15 or more guests) allows you to pre-select the food choices to be offered to your guests in advance of the day.  Your guests will then select their choice from three starters and two desserts at the table, on the day.  Generally one main course is offered with a vegetarian dish being selected for the relevant number of guests in advance of the day.
  • We offer a finger buffet which is generally the most suitable for funeral teas, christenings and baby showers.  You select your choice of items from an extensive list of options in advance of the day.  Our served buffet is an alternative to the finger buffet for those preferring our staff to serve guests from a buffet table.
  • Afternoon Tea is also an alternative food choice for any celebration.  This can be served in a choice of rooms depending on your numbers.  A room hire charge may apply for private functions - please ask for details

Function Menu 2024

The Function Menu prices are fully inclusive of:

• Full use of the hotel’s 3 acres of grounds for photographs
• A choice of 3 starters and 2 desserts (to accompany your choice of main course) and coffee and mints to follow
• A white linen napkin for every guest
• Use of the Hotel’s cake stand and knife for your cake (if required)
• Menu cards printed in colours to match your colour theme
• Table plan printed and displayed on a mahogany easel
• Bespoke menu planning


Your completed menu will include:                                                           

A choice of THREE starters

A maximum of TWO main course options can be chosen for the WHOLE party. The cost of the menu per individual will be dictated by the main course option chosen. 

ONE vegetarian main course option (to be chosen to be offered to all vegetarians in the party).

A selection of THREE vegetables and TWO potatoes to accompany your main course.

A choice of TWO desserts.

Tea/coffee and mints will be included in the chosen menu.

A pre-order  (per guest) will be required two weeks prior to the day. 

Please advise us if any of your guests have special dietary requirements.  The price you pay is based on the main course you choose.
