Serving traditional homemade culinary delights for that incredible dining experience, Clarkes Restaurant in Usk, Monmouthshire is open seven days a week to both guests of the Hotel and diners alike and offers an a la carte menu that changes monthly which is perfect for frequent diners.
Dining is available in our oak-panelled Restaurant and the Dining Room which opens onto a courtyard. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and is included for all of our guests staying on short breaks, on business or as part of a wedding.
Open for lunch, guests can select from a light-bites menu or our a la carte menu. Prior booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. From 6.30pm, with last orders at 9.00pm, our restaurant offers a menu carefully selected by our Head Chef which changes regularly.
We offer one sitting for Sunday Lunch making sure that you are not pressured to vacate your table for other parties. Arrive at 12.30pm for a drink in our bar area before taking your seat around 1pm. Choose from 2, 3 or 5 courses depending on your appetite! Prior booking is essential to avoid being disappointed. Sunday lunch offers customers a traditional roast, with three main courses to choose from - beef and Yorkshires are a menu staple and then another roast meat and a fish dish, complemented by a choice of starters and then home-made desserts, followed by cheese, coffee and mints!
Afternoon tea is a popular choice with a plentiful array of savoury delights and freshly home-made cakes and scones. Our afternoon tea selection is available for a special treat and can be selected as the food choice for family celebrations. We also offer an afternoon wedding package.

Situated just a five-minute stroll from the small picturesque town of Usk, is the Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel, the home of Clarkes restaurant which continues to go from strength to strength since its debut in 2007 under the watchful eye of head chef Julie Carey.

There is ample free parking within the hotel’s three acres of picturesque grounds which, on a nice afternoon, also provide the perfect setting for a post-lunch leisurely stroll, or you can retire to one of the comfortable bar areas to relax.
