Welcome the new addition to the family.. we offer the perfect setting to celebrate a Christening

The Christening of a new arrival is an occasion to be celebrated ..

For those of you wishing to celebrate the Christening of your new arrival, with family and friends, we are able to help in the planning and preparation of this very special occasion with care and attention to detail.

From the time you start to consider a date for the Christening through to the day of the Christening service and the celebration itself, we are on hand to assist. Here at the Glen-yr-Afon we understand the importance of such an occasion and will work closely with you to create a memorable occasion for the whole family.

We have a selection of venue rooms to choose from; the Library and Clarkes Dining Room for smaller parties and the Ballroom catering for larger parties with ample space for children to move around freely among family and friends.

The hotel car park provides for 100 cars and is surrounded by beautiful lawns and gardens that are also available for guests to use.

The venue room you choose for your Christening celebration will be decorated with appropriately colour coordinated floral decorations, for which no extra charge is made, and will also include the use of a cake stand and knife, again free of charge. Should you wish to further enhance the look of the room we can consider your requirements fully in our planning discussions. So let us take care of everything - our experienced and professional staff are here to provide you with a very special day.

A selection of mini filled baguettes
Caesar chicken salad wraps
Mini beef Wellingtons
Breaded King prawns
Three cheese and red onion tarts
Red pepper, roasted cherry, tomato and basil pizza bites
Mini cottage pies
Baby meringues
Raspberry Tarts
Chocolate covered profiteroles
Almond and white chocolate Viennese fingers
Tea/coffee

Children and guests with special dietary requirements can also be catered for - please ask for details.

Arrival Drinks

Should you wish to offer your guests an arrival drink there are many options to choose from including fruit punch, Pimms, sparkling wine, Champagne, Bucks Fizz or still wines.

An extensive wine list is also available to choose from should you wish to offer guests a drink during the celebration itself and for a toast to the new arrival, we have a large selection of sparkling wines and champagne to add that special touch.

Christening reception packages include:

a white linen table napkin for each guest

room hire (for full Christening packages)

floral table centres for the tables

use of the hotel's cake stand and knife for the celebration cake

menu cards and table plan, where appropriate

bespoke menu planning, where appropriate

a designated member of the management team to oversee your day

the service of a designated member of staff to assist in the planning process
