Wedding Anniversary Celebrations

For couples wishing to celebrate their wedding anniversary with family and friends we are able to assist in the planning, preparation and delivery of your special occasion. We offer a wide selection of function menus and drinks options.

Here at the Glen-Yr-Afon we pride ourselves on being able to offer a bespoke service by offering you our full attention from the time you make your initial enquiry through to the day itself.  For your wedding anniversary celebration, we pride ourselves in our attention to detail ensuring that the venue room you choose will be decorated with appropriate colour coordinated floral table centres, for which no extra charge is made and will also include the use of a cake stand and knife, if required.

We have a selection of venue rooms to choose from - the Library and Clarkes Dining Room for smaller parties and the Ballroom accommodating larger parties with the provision of a private bar facility.  We can also assist in arranging entertainment for those larger parties celebrating in our Ballroom.

Should you wish to further enhance the look of the room we can consider your requirements fully in our planning discussions.

We can also assist with your entertainment requirements, being able to recommend a variety of bands, roadshow hosts, magicians, string quartets, harpists etc - all of whom we are happy to liaise with, on your behalf.

We offer a Funtion Menu, Function buffet menu or a la carte menu options.  Should you wish to discuss alternatives please let us know.

Our Head Chef is happy to consider each party's individual requirements and create a 'special' menu when requested.

Cheers! Offering you a drink on arrival

Should you wish to offer your guests an arrival drink there are many options to choose from including fruit punch, Pimms, sparkling wine, Champagne, Bucks Fizz or still wines.

An extensive wine list is also available to choose from should you wish to offer guests a drink during the celebration itself and for a toast to the happy couple, we have a large selection of sparkling wines and champagne to add that special touch.

After your celebration why not stay the night?

Recognising that some of your guests travel considerable distances to be with you to celebrate your wedding anniversary, we are pleased to be able to offer a choice of accommodation packages.

  • Double / twin-bedded en-suite rooms with a full Welsh served breakfast - £125.00 per room
  • Single en-suite room with a full Welsh served breakfast -£97.50 per room

    Two-day break packages are available - please ask for details.

Nestling in the grounds of the Glen-yr-Afon House Hotel is our superbly appointed Stable Cottage.  The stable block conversion offers our guests the exclusive facility of a private retreat throughout their stay. Accommodation in the cottage comprises of two bedrooms, one with a full sized double bed and one with two full sized single beds. As you would expect from Monmouthshire's favourite country house hotel the cottage has all the comforts of home and is only a short stroll from Clarkes restaurant and the main hotel.  

Individual guests wishing to make a room reservation will be required to confirm their booking with a current credit/debit card number together with full contact details.  Our cancellation policy requires guests to give at least 48 hours notice to avoid a charge being made.
