For an intimate gathering, the Library is a popular room to host a private dinner party. For larger parties, the Ballroom is the perfect location for dances, discos and larger gatherings. We are happy to suggest the right sized room for the mood you want to create. Wonderfully attentive service is always included!

'Thank you for all your help with organising my birthday dinner on Saturday. It was a great success. The room looked lovely and the food was outstanding. Everyone - including the fussy eaters! - really enjoyed their meals. The staff were friendly and made everyone feel relaxed, but served the meal very efficiently giving us time to thoroughly enjoy each course. We were also delighted with all the extra touches such as the personalised menus and the birthday card, and the fact that we had the lounge reserved for the drinks on arrival. 'A Big Thank you to yourself and all your team for making my day so special when I had afternoon tea at the hotel to celebrate my 50th Birthday on Sunday 17th May 2015. Everything was perfect – the library room, the table settings, the food and the service – I felt like a Queen for a day. ( I only wish that I could have had my wedding there but now after 28 years of marriage I don’t think my husband would be up for doing it again!!!!) Please pass on my gratitude to all those involved- yourself (for doing everything I asked even thought I didn’t give you much time or I hadn’t thought it through!!!), the chef(the food was superb) the kitchen staff, front of house and all those who set up and cleared away. A special thank you to the gentleman who looked after us on the day as he was attentive, friendly and professional with nothing being too much trouble. What was great was that we had the room to ourselves and weren’t rushed at all especially with cakes to cut and people to say goodbye too that I don’t get to see often. Myself, my family and friends would highly recommend your hotel and staff to all . We had an amazing time with lots of fond memories and lovely pictures to show.
I look forward to visiting again soon and being able to come back for many more special occasions in the future

'Just a short note to say how much everyone enjoyed my birthday celebrations at the Glen-yr-Afon. Everything was perfect from the time we arrived - a little early, but it was such a lovely evening - to the time we left, not much before midnight. The whole evening was so relaxed and well organised and those who attended have not stopped talking about it since. The food was - as I expected - of a very high quality and beautifully presented. The service was first class and the whole evening was overseen by Matt whose pleasant and easy going manner was a big hit with everyone. I must not to forget to mention that the room looked superb and the unusual flower arrangements on the tables added a touch of elegance. The photograph on the front cover of the menu is such a good idea and was certainly a talking point among my guests and a nice keepsake. Thank you for your help and attention to detail in the planning process and to all members of staff, particularly the chefs who followed your instructions to the letter and helped to make it such a memorable occasion.
